ANTIGONE S. PAPAVASILIOU
Antigone S. Papavasiliou, MD, PhD, FAAP, graduated from the University of Athens Medical School. She trained in Pediatrics (Mount Zion Hospital, CA, USA) and in Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology (Wayne State University School of Medicine, MI, USA). The title of her Doctoral Thesis was “Sleep Apnea of Infancy: A Study of 110 Infants”.
She was appointed Assistant Professor in Child Neurology (1990, University of Crete, Greece), a post given up to serve as Head of Pediatric Neurology, at the Pendeli Children’s Hospital (NHS) in Athens for 27 years. In 2017 she became Head Pediatric Neurologist at IASO Private Children’s Hospital.
She is founding member of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Neurology and of the Hellenic Society of Hypnology.
She has authored over 65 original papers in international peer-reviewed journals and many review articles and book chapters in Greek.
